The Brush Pro Mask and Xcaper Professional Filtration
system provides unparalleled firefighter protection.
The Brush Pro Mask is specifically designed for Wildland fire fighting. The Brush Pro Mask is made of advanced Nomex, which has a 1050 degree F heat rating. The breathing port of the mask is also made of Nomex. The Brush Pro Mask has an integral vapor and heat barrier behind the Nomex shell to protect the user from steam burns and heat transfer to the skin. With the mask is a detachable elastic head strap system. The mask and filter can stretch down under the users chin when not in smoke filled environment, and pulled back up immediately when needed. There is never a need to completely remove the mask and filter at the scene. Velcro attachment points at the nose can be used to attach the mask to the goggles as an alternate no slip method.
Xcaper Filter Professional:
The Xcaper filter is a direct contact moist filter, which allows the user to breath and communicate with ease. This revolutionary system delivers unparalleled firefighter protection by trapping particulate matter and absorbing hazardous gases common to Wildland fires and structural fires during overhaul. It provides a high level of protection while reducing the high respiratory effort that "dry" systems create. The moisturizing agent is a 100% all-natural extract. This is the same extract that many hospitals use to help patients lungs after injury. This agent will not steam, and the filter cloth material passes CA 117E Burn Test. (direct flame for 38 seconds before the cloth will ignite) Therefore, there is little risk of burn to the firefighter in high temperature environments. The styrene beads used, as a medium in the filter will not gas off less than 800 degrees. This mix of specially shaped negatively charged beads allow the filter to conform to every face and trap particulate particles in the filter. Laboratory tests indicate that the Xcaper filter will trap water-soluble gases (anhydrite) at a level in excess of 95%.

The combination of moisturizing agent and charged styrene beads prevent the "Channeling Effect" that makes "dry" filter systems less effective in demanding environments. This filter is intended for single use and will last for approximately 8 to 12 hours of continuous use in a typical Wildland fire situation.
The Whiffs Neck Shroud can be worn when additional protection is desired.
The Xcaper smoke filter is individually packaged in a vacuumed sealed foil pouch. It has a shelf life of 5 years.
The Brush Pro mask is machine washable, in cold water, and air-dried.
